Soil Sampling
and Tank Corrosion Surveys
Soil Sampling
Soil extraction probes are bored into the earth surrounding
the underground storage tank. Samples are taken at a depth of 6-12 inches below
the tank invert. Samples are immediately transferred to sterile containers for
transportation to a state certified laboratory. A chain of custody is
established immediately to ensure sample integrity. Quality assurance/quality
control is preserved by using separate sterile sample tubes which eliminates
the occurrence of cross contamination of individual samples.
Corrosion Testing
Residential Underground Storage Tank Corrosion Survey
A corrosion survey is valuable in determining the current status of an
underground storage tank's life and risk for a release. Corrosion is the main
element in tank and piping failures and a comprehensive survey will allow you
to evaluate the status of an underground storage tank for repair or
replacement. Accurate Tank Testing can provide this service to help you
identify and determine your underground corrosive levels.
Testing is by certified technicians with years of field experience and the cost
is nominal for the information you receive.
National Association of Corrosion Engineers standards are followed using a
tank-to-electrolyte potentials established over years of study and evaluation
of existing underground storage tanks.
